I have spent years working with builders professionally in the hotel industry and never before have I felt able to recommend any company once they have finished a job. Usually, even when things start out well, the longer a job goes on the more the relationship with the builders disintegrates, until you part on mutually bad terms! Nick has has restored my faith in building contractors, good faith, skills and mutual benefits attached to working with a fabulous building firm. Not only are his own team able to finish things to a very high standard, but whenever he was tasked with managing sub-contractors, he ensured that the same expected levels of finish were attained. On a couple of occasions, through no initial fault of his, things went very awry, delays built up, costs started to mount....all the usual things that anyone with any experience of building work comes to expect. Unusually, though, instead of standing away from the problem, denying any responsibility and basically keeping his head below the parapet, he stepped up to the plate to make sure that everything could be resolved as quickly as possible. I really liked every member of his team, I loved how clean they kept the site, I love the continuing attention and follow-up on snagging, I enormously appreciated the lack of the usual condescension shown to a woman who is running a project. I have no hesitation in recommending him for projects as small as mine or for the much larger ones he is usually involved in. Nick is clever, professional and charming and I cant wait to use his services again.
